The Caverns July 2026 concerts cover more ground than almost any month on the calendar. Rock legend. Bass music camping event. Grateful Dead tribute. Folk duo. A cappella masters. Saxophone spectacle. Jam band institution. If July has a theme underground, it’s that there’s no good reason to be anywhere else.
The cave stays 59 degrees year-round. The Caverns was named Theater of the Year at the 2026 ACM Awards. And The Getaway on Ranger Creek is approximately 30 minutes away, one of the closest lodging options that isn’t on-site camping. Book early. July weekends fill up.
Todd Rundgren — July 3
Todd Rundgren has been one of rock music’s most restlessly creative figures for more than 50 years. Producer, multi-instrumentalist, studio pioneer, and the man behind “Bang the Drum All Day,” a song built entirely around the idea of not wanting to work and just wanting to play drums all day. Coming to a cave in Tennessee on July 3rd, the Friday before the long weekend. If that’s not a sign to take a few days off and bang the drum, nothing is.
ALLEYCVT: Supersonic Caverns II — July 10 and 11
ALLEYCVT returns for two nights with Camp Supersonic, a full weekend bass camping event. Night one features Sippy and Machaki. Night two brings Wink and KLO. Last year’s edition made history with the largest laser installation ever brought into the venue. This year it’s bigger.
Melvin Seals & JGB — July 12
Melvin Seals has been playing keyboard with Jerry Garcia Band since 1980. JGB carries that legacy forward with the warmth and looseness that made Garcia’s side project beloved by so many. A Sunday night show after two nights of Supersonic Caverns, good programming.
Watchhouse — July 17
Watchhouse is the project of Andrew Marlin and Emily Frantz, formerly known as Mandolin Orange. Their sound sits in the space between folk, bluegrass, and something quieter and harder to name. Spare arrangements, close harmonies, songs that take their time. The Caverns acoustic environment suits them perfectly.
Chanticleer — July 19
Twelve male voices covering nearly five octaves, performing everything from medieval choral music to American gospel to contemporary composition. Multiple Grammy Awards. Performances in the world’s great concert halls. Hearing them inside a natural cave with no amplification is the kind of thing people talk about for years.
Saxsquatch — July 24
Saxsquatch is exactly what it sounds like: a costumed saxophone performer who plays everything from funk to hip-hop to pop covers. Come ready to move and bring your energy high.
moe. with Shadowgrass — July 31
moe. has been one of the jam scene’s most reliable bands for more than 30 years. Dense, guitar-driven, occasionally chaotic in the best way. moe.Down Underground in The Caverns is a fitting name for what promises to be a sweaty, joyful Friday night underground.
