You can elope in Tennessee for the cost of two nights in one of our accommodations plus a flat $500 for the ceremony area. That $500 covers the arbor and the back meadow, the sound system and microphone, seating for your people, and setup before you arrive. Two-night minimum, up to ten people at the ceremony, and no reception to plan. Just the two of you works too.

Eighteen acres on the Cumberland Plateau, about an hour from Chattanooga and ninety minutes from Nashville. If you want the woods, a real bed, and a wedding day that is genuinely restful, that is what The Getaway on Ranger Creek is good at.

What Does It Cost to Elope in Tennessee Here?

Two numbers. The first is your accommodation, which varies by unit and by date, exactly as it would if you were booking a regular weekend with us. The second is a flat $500 for the ceremony area, which covers the arbor, the meadow, the sound system and microphone, the seating, and setup.

Where You Stay: the Dome or the Boho Cabin

Eloping here means booking one of two accommodations. Both are good places to wake up on your wedding day, and both give you a dry option if the weather turns.

The Geodesic Glamping Dome looks out over the pond with woods rising behind it. Porthole skylights overhead, a real bed, and enough open floor that ten people fit comfortably inside, which is your ceremony space if the rain sets in and stays. It is the one most couples pick to spend the night in. The Dome closes for the season, so November 1 through February 28 is Boho Cabin only.

The Boho Cabin is color and comfort. An eclectic, bohemian interior with soft furnishings you sink into, a full kitchen, a 54-inch TV, and a large bathroom with a three-by-six walk-in shower. The covered deck out front is big enough to hold the ceremony itself, with room for everyone to spread out inside and out before and after. Available year-round.

If you want more room for the people joining you, additional accommodations can be added subject to availability.

The Ceremony Arbor and the Back Meadow

The ceremony happens in a meadow toward the back of the property, backed by mature hardwoods and pines. In spring and summer, thousands of ferns blanket the woods behind it. During the right time of fall, the whole tree line bursts with color. The sun sets behind the arbor and the tree canopy, which is why late afternoon is worth asking about when you pick your time.

The arbor is rough-sawn oak with a metal roof on a concrete pad, wired for sound and strung with Edison lights. We kept it simple so you can dress it however you like: flowers, greenery, fabric, whatever you have been saving pictures of. Seating sits on a gentle rise above the arbor, so the few people you bring look slightly down toward the two of you.

The meadow is a five to seven minute walk from the accommodations and parking, and we run a golf cart for anyone who would rather ride.

Just the Two of You

Plenty of couples come here with nobody else, and Tennessee asks for witnesses. If it is only the two of you, Jeremy and Tiffany, who own the property, are glad to stand in and sign. It is one of our favorite things to be asked.

Privacy on Your Wedding Day

Elopements are not a property buyout, so there will be other guests staying on the eighteen acres during your two nights. In practice you will barely register them. The back meadow sits well away from the accommodations and parking, most guests are out hiking Greeter Falls or Grundy Forest between eleven and five, and nobody has any reason to wander toward the ceremony. It is also the reason an elopement here costs a fraction of a full wedding weekend.

Music, Drinks, and the Small Print

The arbor is powered and the sound system is Bluetooth-capable, so your processional and recessional are covered. Jeremy is a retired wedding DJ and will happily cue it for you, or build a short playlist for a first dance if you want one.

Bring whatever you would like to drink. No restrictions on alcohol and glassware is fine. We only ask that the property stay smoke-free and vape-free. Elopement bookings do not include a reception, so plan on dinner out or something quiet back at your accommodation. Monteagle, Sewanee, and Tracy City all have good options within a short drive.

Looking at a Wedding for More Than Ten Guests?

Ten is a firm ceiling. If you will have more than ten guests, a property buyout is required, which ensures you have your privacy and enough room for everyone.
