Elope in Tennessee on 18 Private Acres in Coalmont

You can elope in Tennessee for the cost of two nights in our accommodations plus a flat $500 for the ceremony area. That’s The Elopement Package. The $500 covers the arbor and the back meadow, with the arbor’s Edison lights and the built-in bench seating. Two-night minimum, up to ten people with the two of you included, and no reception to plan. Just the two of you works too.

Eighteen acres on the Cumberland Plateau, about an hour from Chattanooga and an hour and a half from Nashville. If you want the woods, a real bed, and a wedding day that is genuinely restful, that is what The Getaway on Ranger Creek is good at.

What Does It Cost to Elope in Tennessee Here?

Two numbers. The first is your accommodation, which varies by unit and by date, exactly as it would if you were booking a regular weekend with us. The second is a flat $500 for the ceremony area, which covers the arbor, the meadow, the arbor’s Edison lights and the built-in seating.

Where You Stay

Eloping here means booking at least one of our accommodations, and which ones are open depends on the season. Any of them is a good place to wake up on your wedding day.

The Geodesic Glamping Dome looks out over the pond with woods rising behind it. Porthole skylights overhead, a real bed, and enough open floor that ten people fit comfortably inside, which is your ceremony space if the rain sets in and stays. It is the one most couples pick to spend the night in. The Dome closes for the season in November and reopens in the spring. When the weather is good it sometimes stays open longer, or opens a few days at a time, but that can’t be promised in advance.

The Boho Cabin is color and comfort. An eclectic, bohemian interior with soft furnishings you sink into, a full kitchen, a 54-inch TV, and a large bathroom with a three-by-six walk-in shower. The covered deck out front is big enough to hold the ceremony itself, with room for everyone to spread out inside and out before and after. It opens March 1, 2027, and is available year-round from then on.

The Scandinavian Cabin and the Cozy Spruce Cabin stay open all winter, so they are the winter choices, joined by the Boho once it opens on March 1, 2027. The Scandinavian was renovated in 2026, with a clean Nordic interior and a covered deck strung with lights. The Cozy Spruce has spruce walls, floor-to-ceiling windows looking into the woods, and a covered deck built around a propane fire table.

Your people are welcome to book the other open accommodations too, one or all of them, at their regular rates.

The Ceremony Arbor and the Back Meadow

The ceremony happens in a meadow toward the back of the property, backed by mature hardwoods and pines. In spring and summer, thousands of ferns blanket the woods behind it. During the right time of fall, the whole tree line bursts with color. The sun sets behind the arbor and the tree canopy, which is why late afternoon is worth asking about when you pick your time. The arbor and the seating fall into shade after 4pm in summer and after 1pm in fall and winter, so set your ceremony time with that in mind.

The arbor is wood with a metal roof. Edison lights hang from the arbor, over the processional aisle, and to a 3-foot wide and 9-foot high door made from rough-cut wood from our property. You enter through this door for an amazing grand entrance to the ceremony. We kept the arbor simple so you can dress it however you like: flowers, greenery, fabric, whatever you have been saving pictures of. Seating sits on a gentle rise above the arbor, so the few people you bring look slightly down toward the two of you.

The meadow is a five to seven minute walk from the accommodations and parking, a lovely stroll through the woods before the ceremony.

Just the Two of You

Plenty of couples come here with nobody else. Tennessee law doesn’t require witnesses at a wedding, but some county clerks ask for one on the license, so check with the clerk’s office where you get yours.

For the ceremony itself, bring your own officiant or ask us for a short list of local ones. We are happy to make the introduction.

Privacy on Your Wedding Day

Elopements are not a property buyout, so there will be other guests staying on the eighteen acres during your two nights. In practice you will barely register them. The back meadow sits well away from the accommodations and parking, most guests are out hiking Greeter Falls or Grundy Forest between eleven and five, and nobody has any reason to wander toward the ceremony. It is also the reason an elopement here costs a fraction of a full wedding weekend.

Music, Drinks, and the Small Print

A battery system powers the arbor’s Edison lights, so there’s no generator noise. For music, a small Bluetooth speaker of your own works well for the processional and recessional.

Bring whatever you would like to drink. No restrictions on alcohol and glassware is fine. We only ask that the property stay smoke-free and vape-free. Elopement bookings do not include a reception, so plan on dinner out or something quiet back at your accommodation. Monteagle, Sewanee, and Tracy City all have good options within a short drive.

Your officiant, photographer and videographer are welcome, and so are hair and makeup at your accommodation. Deliveries are fine too: flowers, a cake, or dinner dropped off at your door. If you’d like a tent, a caterer or a reception, that’s what The Wedding Weekend is for.
