The Glamping Tent at The Getaway on Ranger Creek sits deep in the shade of the pines on our 18-acre property in Coalmont, Tennessee. The canvas tent is cozy and well-appointed, with a real queen bed, quality linens, and enough space to feel comfortable without feeling cluttered. Step outside onto the 130-square-foot private deck, strung with lights and facing the woods, and you'll quickly realize that's where most of the living happens. Morning coffee out there, fire pit in the evening, more stars overhead than you remembered existed.
The tent is not climate-controlled, which is worth knowing before you book. A 1500-watt space heater helps with the cooler months and a fan helps with the warmer ones. Your private bathroom is in the bathhouse, a 41-second walk away, with a full tile shower, fresh towels, and a Keurig coffee bar. The property's resident flock of ducks and chickens roam freely and do a remarkable job keeping the mosquitoes low for Tennessee woods. Four Border Collies live on the property. They're friendly, non-aggressive, and supervised at all times, though you may occasionally cross paths with them outside. If a dog encounter would be a concern, just let us know ahead of time and we'll do our best to work around it. When you're ready to head out, Greeter Falls, Foster Falls, and Savage Gulf State Park are all a short drive. The Caverns is close enough for a night show and a real bed afterward.
