The Getaway on Ranger Creek. This cozy spruce cabin rental in Tennessee is new for 2026 and perfect for couples. The cabin runs 255 square feet inside, with a 205-square-foot covered deck and a propane fire table at the center of it. With a queen bed and a 5.5-foot chaise, it sleeps up to three.
The Cozy Spruce Cabin is the newest build at The Getaway on Ranger Creek, designed from scratch for couples. A burgundy exterior stain that lets the natural wood grain show through, walls of raw Nordic spruce inside, and Edison string lights threading through it all. Every piece earns its place.
The cabin sits on a quieter side of the property in an open area about thirty feet from the woods, framed by mature pines and hardwoods. A large, healthy Eastern Hemlock stands about fifty feet off the deck. The covered deck faces west, shaded in the morning and lit through the trees in the afternoon and evening, with sunset views year-round.
At 255 square feet, the Cozy Spruce Cabin is compact on purpose, designed around a single guiding idea: couples come here for each other, not to spread out. A plush queen bed with a new memory-foam mattress anchors the room. A 5.5-foot chaise sleeps one more, a child comfortably. Two beanbag chairs sit in front of floor-to-ceiling windows that pull the woods inside.
The kitchenette has a mini-fridge, a microwave, and an in-unit Keurig with a really nice selection of pods. Dishes, utensils, silverware, pots and pans, cups, and grilling tools are stocked in the cabin. There’s no sink or stove inside; for hot meals beyond what the microwave can handle, the propane grill is a few steps outside.
A full bathroom with a 3-by-5-foot walk-in shower. A Smart TV for evenings in. A large mini-split keeps the cabin at home-like temperatures year-round.
The 205-square-foot west-facing deck is fully covered and runs along the front of the cabin, hung with Edison string lights for after dark. The centerpiece is a round propane fire table with glass rocks in the middle and a flat tabletop ring around the flame. Drinks down, feet up, fire going. An L-shaped outdoor couch with a side table faces the fire. A two-person dining table sits to the side. A few steps down from the deck, your propane grill waits at ground level. We provide the propane.
The large mini-split keeps the cabin at home-like temperatures year-round. Cool in summer, warm in winter, no winter blanket caveat to pack for.
The deck overlooks a newly planted quarter-acre wildflower garden. We planted it in early 2026, so it’s currently sparse and finding its footing. The first blooms are expected in August 2026, with the garden reaching full maturity in 2027.
Bugs are part of life in the woods. Ladybugs, beetles, the occasional spider, and flying insects sometimes find their way in. The chickens and Muscovy ducks roaming the property keep mosquito and tick numbers genuinely low.
Four Border Collies live on the property with us. They’re friendly, non-aggressive, and supervised at all times, though you may occasionally cross paths with them outside. If a dog encounter would be a concern, just let us know ahead of time and we’ll do our best to work around it.
The Getaway sits in Coalmont on the South Cumberland Plateau, central to the waterfalls, trailheads, and music venues that draw people to this corner of Tennessee. The Caverns underground concert venue is 19 miles away. Greeter Falls trailhead is 7 miles, Foster Falls is 12 miles, and Savage Gulf State Park is 13 miles. Bonnaroo in Manchester is 26 miles. Chattanooga is about an hour south, Nashville is about an hour and 45 minutes north, and Fall Creek Falls is about an hour northeast.
The Cozy Spruce Cabin rental is the newest of our cabins, perfect for couples coming up for a concert, a hike, or a quiet weekend with a fire on the deck after dark.
